Toyota launches 5th toyota dream car art contest

On 21st Dec 2015, Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) in cooperation with Department of Primary Education (Ministry of Education & Training) officially launched the 5th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest for aged-15-and-below Vietnamese children

Initiated and annually organized by Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) since 2004, the Toyota Dream Car  Art Contest has now attracted more and  more participation of children in over 90 countries and regions in the world. It has become one of the world biggest art contests for children and also one of social contribution activities which is attached special importance to by Toyota. After 9 times, the Contest has received nearly 3 million artworks of children worldwide. The contest has not only increased in quantity, but also in quality through the  meaningful and creative artworks of the talented children. 

Especially, in order to expand and attract more and more participation of children, the contest this year has many  new points, in which there is the official contest song announcement, named “The Brightest Color is You”. In Vietnam, although Vietnam participated the contest a bit late compared with many other countries, Vietnam is so proud to receive the very enthusiastic participation of children nationwide and become one of the biggest national art contests in Vietnam. Over 1.7 million artworks after only 4 years organizing in Vietnam is not just a figure, it also conveys the outstanding creativity, passion and overall the dreams about a useful car of children. 


This year, in Vietnam, the 5th  Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is organized for aged-15-and-below children nationwide. The contest has two rounds: national and world levels

• At national level, candidates will free draw their dream cars by their creativity, passion and ability, no copy and imitation of ideas from others. Each candidate or group of candidates can submit maximum 03 artworks. Artworks are executed on A3 paper (29,7 cm x 42 cm), by colorful wax, colorful wool, colorful powder…The artwork must be manually made with suitable context and color with the content of the artwork (no graphic). Duration for entry submission is Dec 22nd 2015 – Mar 10th 2016. 

Especially, a micro site of the contest will be officially available at TMV’s website at 
http://www.toyotavn.com.vn/chiecotomouoc in order to update all information and images about the contest. Accessing the micro site, candidates can easily find useful information about the contest such as contest rules, rounds, deadline for submission, gallery, news… Besides, this year, the awarding ceremony will be separately organized (scheduled at the end of Mar 2016), to honor the best candidates of the contest. 

• At world level, the best artworks of the national contest will be selected to attend the world contest in Japan. Each country will select 09 best  artworks of 3 age categories (under 8; 8-11 and 12-15) and send to Japan to attend the world contest. For the winners of the world contest, beside the awards of the Organizing Board, each winner and their guardian will have chance to take Toyota factory tour and great experience of Japanese culture in Aug 2016 in Tokyo, Japan
Besides, the contest is also a useful playground for children for exchange with friends in over the world. Impressively, Vietnam’s children also received many high  prizes at the World  contest in Japan: 01 silver prize in 2012 (first year launched) by Le Khanh Linh (under 10 years old, pupils of Nguyen Luong Bang primary school, Hai Duong province) with the artwork named “rescue car for flood victims”; 01 consolation prize in 2013 by Nam Vu Huy (under 8 years old, pupil of Tran Nhat Duat primary school, Hanoi) with the artwork named “multi-purposed car”. Especially, 01 gold prize in 2014 by Bui Thanh Mai (under 8 years old), first grade of Le Hong Phong Primary school, Tam Diep town, Ninh Binh province with the artwork named “Super crab car”. And latest is 01 consolation prize in 2015 with the artwork named “super cactus car” by Nguyen Pham Nhat Minh from Hanoi Technology and Education primary school.
