On June 9, in Ly Thai To Monument area, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in cooperation with Hanoi People's Committee, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and related organizations, businesses launched the national campaign on plastic waste prevention. This activity aims to promote awareness and action of community and society, affirming Vietnam's commitment to control and reduce plastic waste as well as follow the direction of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

At the launching ceremony, Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) and many businesses joined the Alliance Against Plastic Waste, signed a commitment, announced the action for the plastic waste prevention campaign directed by the Prime Minister. TMV is honored to be one of 20 businesses receiving certification of the Union Member on plastic waste prevention from Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Ministry Tran Hong Ha.

Also at the ceremony, PM Phuc ordered the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and relevant ministries and agencies to work together to complete regulations and policies to scale down the use of single-use plastic products, encouraging the development of environmentally-friendly ones, and promoting the application of advanced technologies for plastic waste recycling.

Always striving to contribute to improving environmental issues in Vietnam, also in June, TMV held a ceremony to sign the environment protection commitment and call for all employees as well as members of Toyota dealer system nationwide to implement the "No single-use plastic challenge" program with many meaningful and practical activities.
