• TMV is honored to be one of the main sponsors of Mottainai 2019 program in order to raise funds to support disadvantaged children, especially orphaned children, children affected by traffic accidents. This is the 2nd year TMV joins hand in this program. 
  •  This year, the program was held for the first time in both Ho Chi Minh City (14-15 Sep) and Hanoi (1 Dec) with many various and unique contents.
Hochiminh city, 14th -15th Sep 2019 – Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) is honored to be one of the main sponsors of Mottainai 2019 program. This is the 7th year that the program is held by the Vietnam Women Newspaper, with the patronization of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Embassy of Japan, which aims to contribute to improving the lifestyle of saving, compassion and sharing, environment protection and building a civilized lifestyle in the community.
The Mottainai program was created based on the purchase and sale of used products with the meaning of saving and avoiding waste as Japanese culture ("Mottainai" is an exclamation which means "It’s so waste!"). However, not only with the meaning of saving, avoiding waste, reusing and protecting the environment, through donations and auctions to raise funds for supporting disadvantaged children, especially children who are orphaned and children affected by traffic accidents, Mottainai has also become a meaningful and humane community activity of national.
This year, the program is held for the first time in both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, specifically:
  • In HCM City, the program is held at Aeon Tan Phu Trade Center on September 14th -15th, under the theme "Mottainai - Mid-Autumn Festival, Give love, Receive happiness". The event will have many interesting activities such as: Guidance on traffic safety skills for women and children; Vietnam - Japan cultural and artistic performances; auction items; buying and selling used products which are donated by readers or businesses; awarding scholarships and gifts to orphans and children affected by traffic accidents in the South.

  •  In Hanoi, the festival with the theme of "Mottainai - Christmas of Love, Receiving happiness" will take place on December 1st, 2019 in the area of Ly Thai To Flower Garden and the pedestrian street around Hoan Kiem Lake. In addition to similar activities at the festival in the HCM City, it is expected that the program will have many interesting and new contents such as: Parade for traffic safety with the participation of Santa Claus, children and people with disabilities due to traffic accidents; Mottainai Run; Pink Products Fair; Vietnam - Japan cultural exchange; Auction of items to raise funds to help children who are victims of traffic accidents, disadvantaged children ...

Especially, to support the 2019 Mottainai Program in Ho Chi Minh City this year, TMV has also called for its members and Toyota Dealers to donate many items such as books, notebooks, school uniforms, new and used clothes, cash and others... Specifically, such Toyota dealers include: Toyota East Saigon; Toyota Hiroshima Tan Cang; Toyota Ben Thanh; Toyota Tsusho; Toyota Phu My Hung; Toyota East Saigon - District 9 branch and Toyota East Saigon - Go Vap branch.
