TOYOTA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2019

  • The Toyota Scholarship 2019 program continues to grant 115 scholarships to excellent students of Automobile, Technical, Mechanical  and Environment majors from 16 universities nationwide. 
  • Besides, technical equipments are also granted to universities to support their teaching and study for students. 
  • This year is the 23rd time that the program has been carried out with accumulated nearly 2,268 scholarships. 
 
Vinh Phuc, 9th Oct 2019 – Today, Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) in cooperation with Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) organized the Toyota Scholarship 2019 program at its headquarter in Vinh Phuc province for North and North Central Universities. This annual program since 1997 aims to encourage the learning spirit and creativity of students, contributing to the human resources development of the industry and Vietnam society as well.

This year, the program continues to award 115 scholarships (total value of 690 million VND) to excellent students of Automobile, Technical, Mechanical and Environment majors from 16 universities nationwide. Thus, until now, there have been accumulatedly nearly 2,268 scholarships awarded to students. Especially, this year, TMV also granted technical equipments for the universities to support their teaching and study for students, such as engine assy, transmission assy, column assy steering, support assy0 ,…etc. The award ceremonies are carried out in Vinh Phuc (for Northern universities) today and will come to Hochiminh city (for Southern universities) on 25th Oct.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Do Thu Hoang, Vice President of TMV said: “Dear students, I would like to welcome and express my warm congratulations to all of you here. This morning, you all did have a plant tour to experience Toyota Production System as well as listen our sharing on career orientation in Toyota. Hopefully, it would be helpful for you to further understand about Toyota and have better imagine about future career path”.

On behalf of students in the North and North Central regions, student Hoang Minh Viet of Quang Ninh University of Industry said: "We would like to express our deep gratitude to the MOET and TMV for your kind encouragement to help us have more determination and strong belief to go ahead to achieve good study result. We promise to strive to study and cultivate the virtues of being a good engineer and a good citizen for society.”
For students in the South, the award ceremony will be held on 15th Oct at Toyota Hiroshima Tan Cang - HT. The students would have chance to experience the showroom, service shop as well as other facilities of a Toyota dealer according to Toyota global standard. For students in the Central, scholarships will be delivered to them. 
Besides Toyota Scholarship program, TMV has been implementing many other meaningful CSR activities in Education & HRD field such as Toyota Scholarship for Vietnamese Young Music Talents, Toyota Technical Education Program, Monozukuri Course, Toyota Dream Car Art Contest. Whereby, TMV desires to contribute to enhancing the quality of human resoure  in order to form and build up a talented and enthusiastic young generation to positively contribute to the prosperity of Vietnam.
