Hanoi, 10th October 2019 – Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) officially announces the total sales volume in September 2019 reached 7,334 units (excluding Lexus models), increasing nearly 17% compared to same period last year. Vios, Fortuner and Innova are in the list of best-selling models of Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA).
Completely Knocked Down (CKD)
Last month, sales volume of CKD models accounted for 65% total sales volume of TMV with 4,732 units, many models have a sharp sales growth comparing to the same period last year. Specifically, Vios reached 2,333 units, approximate the sales of September 2018, continuing to be the best-seller in Vietnam automobile market. Corolla Altis reached 318 units, sharply increased 57% and Innova reached 1,076 units, declining 14% compared to same period last year.
Altis & Vios
After a time coming back to local assembly line, Toyota Fortuner had 1,005 CKD models sold, bringing total sales of this model to 1,436 units, increasing 23% and continues to be the leader of its segment.
Completely built-up (CBU)
In September, the total sales volume of Toyota's CBU models reached 2,602 vehicles. Toyota Camry reached 520 units. Meanwhile, other models also had a high sales volume. Yaris, Wigo, Hilux and Rush respectively reached the number of 300 units, 582 units, 256 units and 319 units.
