Hanoi, Nov 7th 2019 – Toyota Scholarship for Young Vietnamese Music Talents 2018 is organized by Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) in cooperation with Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) to encourage the study spirit of young music talents as well as to contribute to the human resource and music culture development in Vietnam.
50 excellent students receiving Scholarship from TMV
This year, TMV continues to grant 85 scholarships with total value of 510 million dong to young music talents of 5 musical universities/colleges nationwide, including: Vietnam National Academy of Music, Hue Musical Institute, HCMC Conservatory of Music, Tay Bac Musical College and Viet Bac Musical College. In which, 50 students from 3 universities in the North are delivered the scholarship in the ceremony today. Besides, in order to support better the studying and educational condition, TMV continues to grant traditional musical instruments to these universities/colleges.

At the ceremony, Mrs. Do Thu Hoang – Vice President of TMV said: “I would like to send my warmest congratulations to the excellent students today. Especially, we are really touched to see that there are some of you who try your best with extraordinary efforts to achieve excellent achievements in both national and international competitions. I do hope the scholarship will be an encouragement for you to strive for more success & become professional artists in the future”.

Also on November 7, 50 excellent students also had the opportunity to attend a Workshop between the London Chamber Orchestra, who will perform in the Toyota Classics 2019 and the students from National Music Academy on the topic "Start Your Impossible" (SYI). At the workshop, the students and the Orchestra shared their inspirational stories, the courage to overcome challenges and make the dreams come true.

Over the last 10 years, this program has created chances for students to practise and perform with professional orchestras at big music events such as Toyota Concert and Toyota Classics. In addition, many students have also received prestigious awards at international music contests or received scholarships to study abroad.
