Toyota Vietnam leads the market and sets a record for 2020 with nearly 9,000 cars sold in October 2020

Hanoi, 10th Nov 2020 – Toyota Motor Vietnam officially announces the total sales volume reaching 8,947 units (including Lexus models) in October, increased 23% compared to same period last year, 39% compared  to the previous month, leading the market and is the highest record since the beginning of this year. In which, Vios’s sales continued to rank at number 1 position of the market.

Completely Knocked Down (CKD)

Last month, sales volume of Toyota Vietnam’s CKD models reached 5,269 units. Specifically, Vios reached 3,443 units, increasing 49% compared to the sales of October 2019, keeps on maintained its number 1 position in Vietnam automobile market. Innova this month reached 505 units and Corolla Altis reached 307 units.

Especially, Fortuner had 1,104 units sold, including 1,014 CKD models (accounting for 92% of Fortuner’s sales). With outstanding improvements to meet the increasing demand of customers for a high-class SUV: Finetune the design, modern utilities, World-class Toyota Safety Sense and added two Legender special editions, Toyota Fortuner has been well received by customers and back to sales volume of more than 1,000 unit per month.

Completely built-up (CBU)

In October, the total sales volume of Toyota's CBU models reached 3,572 units. Although still in short of supply but the all-new Corolla Cross had sold 1,548 units, getting a lot of attention from customers with outstanding advantages of a pioneering urban SUV, fully equipped with a wide range of innovative technologies and functions such as Hybrid system with self-charging electric technology, Toyota Safety Sense, TNGA, etc.

After announced the new selling price in September, Toyota Rush continues to growth with sales volume reaching 453 units, up 22% over the same period in 2019. As a truly SUV model, Rush owns the stylish exterior, comfortable, spacious interior, powerful performance and outstanding safety equipment, Rush established a stable position in the compact SUV segment.

Thanks to design change, technological improvement, comfort upgrade and price adjustment, the sales of Toyota SUV line-up in October reached more than 3,100 units.

In addition, by the end of October, Toyota Camrys sales volume reached 616 units and Hilux reached 382 units, Wigo is 285 units and Yaris is 135 units.

With sales growth for the fourth consecutive months and a record number of orders, it proved the continued trust and love of customers for Toyota.
