The first stage of T-TEP in Sao Do University will be implemented within 03 years from 2017 to 2020 with total support value 80,000 USD. In the first year of implementation, TMV supports the university with many modern equipment to enhance training activities, in which there are special training tools such as Electricity Master, Electromagnetism Boards, C50 Transaxle, Engine Electrical Cutaway parts,… as well as Toyota service repair tools and many special service tools, measurement tools and vehicle maintenance tools. Especially, the support package also includes 01 Corolla Altis 1.8G produced in 2008, and 03 engines, 03 transaxles, 03 alternators and 03 starters assembly to support practical maintenance training, well-meet the demand for automobile technicians hereafter. In addition, TMV also supports 01 TEAM 21 CD set (for Toyota’s technician training by level). This material may be widely used in education and training activities for the university’s teachers and trainers.
In the opening ceremoy in Sao Do University, Madam Do Thu Hoang, Vice President of TMV said: “Not only in Hanoi and HCM city, we also recognize the huge demand for automobile manpower in the North-East area now and in the future. This time, we choose Sao Do University, which has good facilities and well-trained professional trainers. That’s why TMV is pleased to cooperate with Sao Do University to open the 7th T-TEP training center here in Vietnam. We do believe that Sao Do University will become a good T-TEP center hereafter, where can provide laborforce for TMV’s Dealers network as well as for Vietnam automobile industry”.
With the opening of Toyota training center in Sao Do University, Chi Linh, Hai Duong in today Oct 12th and the technical training center in Vinh Long UTE in Oct 2nd, TMV has developed 07 training centers in 07 technical Universities/ Colleges nationwide.
Up to now, T-TEP has trained over 2.500 students, in which, there have been over 540 trainees recruited to TMV’s Dealers nationwide. Total support value for the program up to now has been nearly $1 million and 08 cars were granted for training activities in 2002, 2005, 2010 and 2017. Besides, TMV also trains and updates auto skills for lecturers from universities/colleges, as well as organizes internship programs for students in dealerships of TMV.
Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) was firstly carried out by Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan in order to support students in automobile vocational institutes to approach and get used to Toyota’s technologies, and be able to practice repairing from the time of studying. By that, enhancing training quality through modern teaching tools and equipment. Through this program, Toyota has trained many skillful technicians in high-grade vocational institutions and contributed to the development of automobile industry and the development of the countries.
In Vietnam, Toyota Technical Education Program – T-TEP was organized by TMV in 2000. The trainees are trained by standard vocational training program of universities, as well as better practical skill by real car models and technical equipment from TMV. Besides, the graduated trainees will also have chance to be recruited to Toyota’s Dealers nationwide.
