TOYOTA VIETNAM TO LAUNCH THE 8TH TOYOTA DREAM CAR ART CONTEST

  • - TMV in cooperation with Children Newspaper launched the 8th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest in Vietnam.
  • - Deadline for artwork submission is as of 25th Jan 2019. The award ceremony of national contest will be organized in Mar 2019 with 160 prizes.
  • - 9 best artworks will be selected to participate in the World Contest in Japan. The award ceremony of world contest will be in Aug 2019.

Hanoi, 3rd Dec 2018Today, Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) in cooperation with Children Newspaper launched the 8th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest in Vietnam. Since 2011, the contest is a useful playground to inspire imagination and creativeness of children through their dream cars; at the same time, creating chances for them to exchange with international friends. 

This year, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest continues to be held for under 16-aged children of 3 age categories (under 8, 8-11 and 12-15). There are 2 rounds:

   ♦ National contest: Contestants can show passion, artistic talent, creativity and imagination about a dream car with many special features which is safe, friendly and useful in the future. Deadline for artwork submission is as of 20th Feb 2019. The award ceremony of national contest will be organized in Mar 2019.

   ♦ World contest: 9 best artworks will be selected and sent to participate in the World Contest in Japan. The winners of World Contest (together with their guardians) will be invited to Japan to attend the Award Ceremony and can experience various aspects of Japanese culture in August 2019.

Moreover, in order to strengthen the connection between TMV, Toyota dealers and customers, the contest this year is also launched at TMV dealers nationwide, helping to bring the contest closer to local children, especially children of customers and dealer staffs.

Delivering speech at the launching ceremony at Kim Dong Primary school (Hanoi), Mrs. Hoang Thi Nhu Quynh – Deputy General Manager of Public Relations & Corporate Social Responsibility Division of TMV said: “Attending the ceremony today, we are so happy to see the enthusiastic participation of children for the contest. We believe that this contest will become an attractive playground, an opportunity for them to express and develop their artistic talents. Wish you continue to create your own unique artworks, satisfy your passion, and win high prizes at both national and world contests."

In the world, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is held annually by Toyota Motor Corporation since 2004, attracting the participation of the children at 82 countries and regions with a total of about 5.3 million artworks. In Vietnam, after 7 times of organizing, the contest also received the enthusiastic participation of children with nearly 3.2 million artworks. Especially, at the World Contest held in Japan, the contestants of Vietnam have also achieved 01 gold, 01 silver, 01 bronze and 04 consolation prizes.

Since the establishment in Vietnam, TMV has always strived to contribute positively to the society with the philosophy of "becoming a good citizen in the local community" through social contribution activities in many fields such as Traffic Safety, Education & HRD, Environmental Protection and Social-Culture.
