Besides, the spirits of mutual supporting and sharing is also a motivation for TMV to carry out to support the community. Each program carries along a message of our hope to see Vietnam improve not only in economy but also in the socio-cultural aspect so that the Vietnamese cultural essences can be preserved and flourish and integrate with the world’s cultures. Toyota Concert

The annual Toyota Concert, funded by TMV (now the Toyota Vietnam Foundation) was first held in 1998 in order to aid The Vietnam’s National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) to improve its quality and professionalism in performing to meet the regional and international criteria.

Toyota Classics

Toyota Classics was first held in the 1990’s by Toyota Motor Japan featuring classical orchestras from countries around the Pacific Rim where Toyota had established its businesses. This annual program not only helped introduce world’s classical masterpieces to the audience but also reinforced musical and cultural interactions among countries. Furthermore, it also helped promote classical music to Asian music lovers through which demonstrated its desire to contribute to the societies through local charitable activities.

Toyota Scholarship For Young Vietnamese Music Talents

In order to continuously confirm and expand its sponsorship in improving the quality of the educational/training field as well as developing the young human resources of Vietnam, TMV and Toyota Vietnam Foundation (TVF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has established the Toyota Scholarship for Young Musical Talents since 2009 for outstanding students of five musical academies of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism around the country. Each year, one hundred scholarships (3 million VND/piece) are granted to the young talents enrolling in the five following institutes: National Music Institute of Vietnam, Tay Bac Arts and Culture College, Viet Bac Arts and Culture College, HCM Musical College and Hue Musical College. All proceeds of the two music programs Toyota Classics and Toyota Concert Tour organized by TMV are used for Toyota Scholarship for Vietnamese Young Music Talents.

Vietnam Robot Contest

Accompanying Robocon Vietnam from the beginning since 2002, TMV has aimed to create more opportunities for the students to apply the learned knowledge into reality as well as develop and execute their creative ideas in the field of science and technology, by which brings up the creation desire of the young generation of Vietnamese engineers who are responsible for developing advanced and modern technologies, enhancing the production capacity, and getting ready to face with new challenges in the future.

Toyota National Student Volleyball Tournament

Since 2010, Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) has officially launched the Toyota National Student Volleyball Tournament in order to enhance the sport spirit at school, improve health and solidarity of students from Universities, Colleges and Vocational Schools nationwide. It is one of new social contribution programs under the Memorandum of Understanding during 2010-2012 between Ministry of Education and Training and TMV. In the long term, the Toyota National Student Volleyball Tournament also helps to find out young volleyball talents to supplement the Vietnamese student delegations attending SEA Games for students, professional volleyball teams, and furthermore the national volleyball team.

As one of the practical activities of the Go Green Program, Eco-village projects have been implemented by TMV since 2009 in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training, General Department of Environment and Ministry of Education and Training. It’s a significant activity on environmental protection in upland for forest development, sustainable utilization of land and water resources, creating a free-clean-fine landscape and public subsistence development.
