Toyota musical scholarship 

In order to continuously confirm and expand its sponsorship in improving the quality of the educational/training field as well as developing the young human resources of Vietnam, TMV and Toyota Vietnam Foundation (TVF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has established the Toyota Scholarship for Young Musical Talents since 2009 for outstanding students of five musical academies of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism around the country. Each year, one hundred scholarships (3 million VND/piece) are granted to the young talents enrolling in the five following institutes: National Music Institute of Vietnam, Tay Bac Arts and Culture College, Viet Bac Arts and Culture College, HCM Musical College and Hue Musical College. All proceeds of the two music programs Toyota Classics and Toyota Concert Tour organized by TMV are used for Toyota Scholarship for Vietnamese Young Music Talents.

Scholarship criteria

• Students who have excellent study results and achieved high prizes in domestic and international music contests.
• Disadvantaged, ethnic minority/mountainous students who make strong efforts to overcome their difficulties and achieve good study results.

The quantity of scholarship awarded in each year

• In 2016: 85 scholarships are granted (4,000,000 VND/each)
• In 2015: 85 scholarships are granted (4,000,000 VND/each)
• In 2014: 85 scholarships are granted (4,000,000 VND/each)
• In 2013: 85 scholarships are granted (4.000.000 VND/ each)
• In 2012: 100 scholarships are granted (3.000.000 VND/ each)
• In 2011: 100 scholarships are granted (3.000.000 VND/ each)
• In 2010: 100 scholarships are granted (3.000.000 VND/ each)
• In 2009: 90 scholarships are granted (3.000.000 VND/ each)

Total amount of scholarship from 2009 – 2013 is 475 pieces valued 1.510.000.000 VND in total are granted for students of below Universities:

• National Music Institute of Vietnam
• Tay Bac Arts and Culture College
• Viet Bac Arts and Culture College
• HCM Musical College 
• Hue Musical College
